Zanzibar Cinnamon Milk
Makes four cups
|| 2/3 cup raw almonds
4 soft dates
4 cups water
1 drop Cinnamon oil
4 drops Orange oil
1) Remove pits from dates. Soak almonds and dates in 2 cups water overnight.
2) Blend with remaining water till smooth.
3) Add Cinnamon and Orange oils and sieve in a mesh strainer.
4) Chill. A wonderfully refreshing summer drink.
Note: If you don't
have time to soak the almonds, grind in blender till powdery
(in 2 batches) then add chopped dates and water. Continue
